Starting a passion project is one of the most satisfying things you could ever do. I started Unbox3d hungry; ready to show the world what I had been working on. I accomplished much more than I had expected to in such a short time; constantly selling out of merchandise, raising thousands of dollars for different initiatives, and consistently putting out new content.
Now y’all know IG all about the flex. 😂😂😂
What y’all didn’t see was the constant anxiety of making sure I was making the right moves, putting out the right product, and maintaining relevancy. I succumbed to fear last year and hindered the development of myself and the platform that I created.
I made a promise to myself that I will live more fearlessly and not allow self-doubt to hold me captive.
In 2019, I will continue to collect and post personal testimonies of others’ "Nah, Fuck That." moments, but also want to begin focusing on issues that are near and dear to me. Instead of treating symptoms of the problem, I will continue to raise the awareness while also proactively working towards solutions to these problems that so negatively affect people everyday.
The first issue that I want to focus on is the criminal justice system. I’ve witnessed family and friends alike, become victims of this system and watched society turn their backs on them. All criminals aren’t equal. Some people are only trying to survive yet they get locked away and their future’s ruined.
