STANDING TALL AS FUCK.

When life was on the up and up, the Lord brought me back to reality with a curveball. During the summer of 2016, I was a peer leader for the Upward Bound program. While playing basketball with the students, I came down from a lay-up and tore my Achilles’ tendon. Fast forward, a few months later, I re-tore the same Achilles after making a mis-step on my crutches. With a double tear on my Achilles’ tendon, I thought that I would never walk again. The doctors recommended that I remove myself from classes for that semester and stay home in Columbus, OH to recover. I slipped into depression because I was no longer in school, away from my close friends, and I knew I wouldn’t graduate on time. Although I had overcome a lot of things in my life, I didn’t think I would be able to shake this one. That was one of the lowest moments of my life. BUT some how, some way, I did it! I fought through it and i learned that life is too short to be negative. Now, I say, “Nah, Fuck That.” because I’m back standing tall promoting positivity.
